La clave de esta banda sonora está en el factor de la noche y de la gran ciudad poblada pero desértica: temas underground, heavy metal y un jazz muy cálido. Entre los episodios, se insertan imágenes a cámara rápida de la vida nocturna barcelonesa, que dan una impresión muy frenética. Es aquí donde se ubica la mayor parte de la música, que endurece el contenido de la película.
El criterio es deliberadamente desordenado y hasta caótico, con cambios bruscos en el cariz melódico y motivaciones al margen de los argumentos. Pero la estrategia está perfectamente calculada: se provoca mantener el desconcierto en el espectador, porque el uso reiterado de un mismo tipo de música acabaría por resultar familiar, lo que menguaría su efectividad.

The key of this soundtrack is in the night factor and in the great populated but desert city: underground themes, heavy metal and a very warm jazz. Between the episodes, images with fast camera of the Barcelonian nocturnal life are inserted, giving a very frenetic impression. It is here where the music is most located, hardening the content of the film.
The criterion deliberately is disordered and chaotic, with abrupt changes in the melodic look and motivations marginally from the plots. But the strategy is perfectly calculated: it is caused to maintain the disagreement in the spectator, because the reiterated use of a same type of music would finish being familiar, what would diminish its effectiveness. |
